Quickstart
Navigate to the Items tab in Settings to view and manage your organization’s master catalog of roles and materials.
In-Depth
The Service Catalog is the source of truth for pricing and resource definitions across your organization. It ensures that when a “Senior Consultant” is added to a quote, the correct cost and markup are applied consistently.
Item Properties
Every item in the catalog includes:
- Name: The display name (e.g., “DevOps Engineer,” “Travel Expense”).
- Type: Categorized as either a Resource (people/time) or Material (fixed costs/products).
- Cost: The internal per-unit cost.
- Markup: The default profit margin applied to the cost.
- Status: Toggle between Active and Inactive to control visibility in the quote editor.
A Learning System
The Service Catalog is designed to grow with your business. While you can manage it manually, it also functions as a learning system.
When a user adds a new unique role or material to a quote that isn’t already in the catalog, the system automatically indexes it. This ensures your catalog stays current with the real-world services your team is proposing.
Using the Catalog
The catalog powers the autocomplete functionality in the quote editor. Keeping it clean and updated helps your team build accurate quotes faster and reduces the need for manual pricing overrides.
